Time: 9:00am ~ 10:00am (KL Time. GMT+8)
Speaker: Mr. Kelvin Wong
The brain is composed of the nervous tissues that generate electrical potentials. The electrical signals within the brain can be recorded on the scalp near the surface of the brain as electroencephalogram (EEG). The EEG waveforms are dynamic signals containing abundant information regarding ones’ functional brain activities and often used in the medical applications to diagnose conditions such as seizures, epilepsy, head injuries, dizziness, headaches, brain tumours, sleeping problems and to confirm brain death.
Date: 27 July 2021 (Tuesday)
Time: 10:00am ~ 11:00am (KL Time. GMT+8)
Speaker: Dr. Rosmina Jaafar
The brain wave has so much potential for the future of mankind and life. The prospect is pertinent as it is categorized as one of the science & technological drivers in the framework developed by Academy of Science Malaysia published in December 2020 called the 10-10 Malaysian Science, Technology, Innovation and Economy (MySTIE) Framework.
Date: 27 July 2021 (Tuesday)
Time: 11:00am ~ 12:00pm (KL Time. GMT+8)
Speaker: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khairul Azami Sidek
Portable fNIRS device opened up a new window and opportunity for researchers to discover the haemodynamic responses of our brain during various activities. Combing traditional EEG approach with fNIRS device enable us to understand another aspect of changes occurring in our brain.
Date: 27 July 2021 (Tuesday)
Time: 12:00pm ~ 1:00pm (KL Time. GMT+8)
Speaker: Mr. Micah Ching
Artificial Intelligence’s (AI) primary aim in a health-related environment is to provide clinical decision and diagnostic support by analyzing relationships between treatment options and patient outcomes. AI has also been developed for patient monitoring and care, drug development and disease prevention. Medical device manufacturers are using these technologies to innovate their products to better assist health care providers and improve patient care.
Date: 27 July 2021 (Tuesday)
Time: 2:00pm ~ 3:00pm (KL Time. GMT+8)
Speaker: Siti Safwana
Deep Learning is a key technology driving the current Artificial Intelligence (AI) megatrend. You may have heard of some mainstream applications of deep learning, but how many of them would you consider applying to your medical imaging applications?
Date: 27 July 2021 (Tuesday)
Time: 3:00pm ~ 4:00pm (KL Time. GMT+8)
Speaker: Nestor Farnandez

It falls under the category of neuro technology that consist of innovation that enables the study of brain processes, brain-computer interface, decision-making, behaviour and neurological disorders.
